Science of Salmon: Blending Culture, Traditional Knowledge, and Science for Conservation of Species at Risk.

Join us for some hands-on experiments and group activities that will highlight the importance of conservation of at-risk species in our province! The Maliseet Nation Conservation Council (MNCC) carries out work in the Saint John River (Wolastoq) watershed and ecosystem. Their work aims to promote conservation, stewardship, and education while respecting traditional knowledge and the work carried out by ancestors. This session will teach about culturally significant species to the Maliseet Nation and how MNCC blends scientific and traditional knowledge to conserve and protect species at risk. There is no need to register for this free program.
